Mr. N Manohar Rao is a Civil Engineer from Mysore University. He has over 35 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.  
He has presented papers at various NACE International Conferences and is a regular faculty in NIGIS programmes. He is a member of NACE International & Institution of Engineers and recipient of 12th NIGIS Corrosion Awareness awards for excellence in corrosion. He has retired as Executive Director (HSSE & Bio-fuel) from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited this June. He is the Chairman of NACE India Section for 2018 – 19 and the Chairman, CORCON 2018. Presently Trustee of NIGIS and Vice – Chairman , NACE EAPA Area.

Dr. U. Kamachi Mudali

Dr. U. Kamachi Mudali, is promoted as Distinguished Scientist by Department of Atomic Energy from July 01, 2018. He is now the Chairman & Chief Executive of Heavy Water Board (HWB), an industrial unit of the Department of Atomic Energy. As Chief Executive, Dr. Mudali is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of Heavy Water plants and other plants (for diversification activities) located at Kota, Manuguru, Thal, Hazira, Baroda, Tuticorin and Talcher. He is leading the diversification activities of the Board including, production of organic Solvents, Sodium, Oxygen-18, and enriched Boron & B4C, in addition to the production of deuterated compounds for societal and industrial applications.  
Dr.Mudali is a Member of Boards of Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad, Nuclear Recycle Board of BARC, Mumbai; Governing Council of Atomic Energy Education Society, Mumbai; and, Expert Advisory Committee of ONGC Energy Centre, New Delhi. He is also Chairman, Research Advisory Board of PSG Institute of Advanced Studies, Coimbatore, and Chairman, CII-Corrosion Management Committee.  
Dr. Mudali has to his credit 440 papers in various National and International journals; he has co-edited 14 books/proceedings, and holds an h-index of 32 (Scopus). He has guided/coordinated project works of 162 students for their UG, PG and PhD degrees. Dr. Mudali is a Fellow of NACE International and seven other national/international science/engineering academies including three from abroad. He has been decorated with prestigious awards like: Homi Bhabha Science and Technology Award from DAE; Group Achievement Awards of DAE (5 times); INS Medal; VASVIK Award; GD Birla Gold Medal Award; National Metallurgists Day Award from Ministry of Steel and IIM; Excellence and Meritorious Awards in Corrosion from NACE India, NCCI and ECSI, Bangalore; etc.. Dr. Mudali has been a Visiting Scientist at leading institutions in Germany, Japan, UK, France, Israel, Bulgaria etc.

Heramb is a Paint Application Technologist, NACE Certified Coating Inspector - Level 3 (Peer Reviewed) and a NACE approved CIP Instructor. Heramb possesses 23 years of experience working with numerous coating systems and materials across board. He has worked closely with Paint Manufacturing, Oil & Gas - Upstream and Downstream, Passive Fireproofing (Jet fire and Cellulosic), Fertiliser, Power Generation, Power Distribution, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Heavy Chemical, Nuclear and Decorative coatings industry all across the world. Heramb was responsible for instituting “Coating Management Methodology” in the FPSO and Drilling Rigs industry. He has presented various technical papers at CORCON and other symposiums. As a CIP instructor, Heramb has conducted CIP classes in many countries; helping budding coating engineers and inspectors achieve this coveted certification.  
Heramb is a member of NACE and SSPC International.

Dr. CV Manian

Dr. C V Manian is chemical engineering graduate from IIT Bombay and UDCT. He holds a Ph D from University of Salford, UK. He retired from Larsen & Toubro Limited, Powai Works in 2001 and subsequently worked with Axiom Engineers and Rolta India Limited as HOD, process engineering. 
He has more than 40 years industry background in areas related to oil & gas industry, refinery, chemical process plants, waste water treatment and water reuse. He has wide experience in process engineering, selection of materials, corrosion engineering and control, failure analysis and pilot plant testing. 
He has managed several projects such as IOCL DHDS, RCF ammonia and carbon mono-oxide, phosphoric acid etc. During his career in L & T, he was involved in process engineering, R & D, Pilot plant test facility set-ups for unit operations and corrosion control, product development, plant commissioning and environmental impact assessment studies. He has published and presented several papers in leading journals and various industrial forums.

Dr. V S Raja

Prof. V.S Raja obtained his doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (1987) and then joined Indian Institute of Technology Bombay as a faculty and currently serving as Institute Chair Professor in Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science. He has established several international collaborations on Corrosion Research. He was a guest researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, Visiting Professor at University of Nevada, USA and Guest Scientist at GKSS Germany and Tohoku University, Japan. 
Prof. Raja, along with his students, has focused his research to understand the fundamental relation between metallurgy of the alloys and their corrosion behavior and applying it to solve industrial problems. He has done pioneering work in Environmentally Assisted Cracking Behavior of Stainless Steels, Aluminum alloys and Magnesium Alloys and has published over 150 papers in peer reviewed journals and book chapters. Has delivered plenary and keynote talks in global and regional conferences such as International corrosion congress and Asian Pacific Corrosion Control Conferences. 
Prof. Raja has developed several new courses for Master’s Curriculum on Corrosion Engineering and for working professional of Industry. He supervised about 20 Doctoral and 100 Masters students and consulted over 50 Industries to solved more than hundred corrosion problems. He is the lead editor of the book “Stress Corrosion Cracking: Theory and Practice” published by Woodhead publishers and Co-authored a book on Corrosion Failures: Theory, Case Studies and Solutions published by John Wiley and Sons. He is an editor of transactions of Indian Institute of metals and a member of editorial boards of several scientific journals including Corrosion Engineering, Science and Technology, Advances in Materials Science and Key Reader of Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A &E and reviewed papers for over 30 journals. He is a member of Research Council of CSIR and DRDO laboratories in India and served NACE international research committee during 2009-13. Prof. Raja has been well recognized nationally and internationally for his contribution to the field of corrosion. In recognition, he received several national awards and is a NACE and IIM fellow.

Dr. Rani P. George

Dr. Rani P. George is Head, Surface Modification and Characterization section in Corrosion Science and Technology Division of indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam, India. She obtained her Ph.D. in the field of Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion and biofouling in 1996. She is associated with nine young scientists and involved in the development of corrosion and biofouling control techniques for structural, steam generator and condenser materials of fast breeder reactors. 
With her team she has demonstrated antibacterial efficacy of Ti tubes with internal nano-copper electroless coating, and feasibility of using non-conventional technique of alternate applied potential for controlling biofouling in titanium condenser pipes using portable potenitostats. She and her group has also successfully developed excellent self healing coatings for low Cr alloys which surpassed 2000h exposure in salt spray environments; Pt nanoparticle coated Ti nanotube arrays on anodized Ti electrode with superior stability, electrocatalytic activity and durability; Biodeterioration resistant high performance green nuclear concrete through nanophase modification and inhibitor addition for seawater applications. Currently her team is working on developing better cleaning technologies for steam generator and corrosion control technologies for service water and cooling water systems of Fast Breeder Reactors. 
She has around 90 papers published in international journals and around 40 conference proceedings. She is fellow of Indian Institute of Metals and life member of several professional associations like ECSI, SAEST, ASCI, EFA and IWSA and for past 7 years member of NACE International. She is serving as Treasurer for NIGIS SZ since 2013. 
Dr. Rani has been well recognized nationally and internationally for her contributions to the field of corrosion. In recognition, she received Shri. S.K. Seshadri Memorial MASCOT National Award 2015 from ECSI, Bengaluru; Corrosion AwarenessAward 2016 for Meritorious Contribution in research and education in Corrosion Science and Technology from NACE International Gateway India section and in 2018 elected as NACE Fellow by NACE International USA.

Dr. Deepashri D. Nage

She has experience of 14+ years in L&T. Currently, she is DGM in Product and Technology Development Centre of Defence IC, L&T. 
Her expertise lies in Materials Verification/Selection, Corrosion control by various methods-surface treatment, materials selection/evaluation, CP, inhibition etc. Failure analysis, troubleshooting, restoration /salvaging materials, material characterization etc. 
She has a strong academic background with Doctorate in Corrosion Science and Engineering from IIT, Bombay and M.E. and B.E. in Metallurgical Engineering from M.S. University of Baroda. She also has one year Post doctoral experience from University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 
To her credit, she is conferred Corrosion Awareness Award - Distinction in Corrosion Science & Technology - Industry Sector 2012 by NACE India Section. She has handled 50+ failure analysis for Root cause. She has Presented 60 papers in technical forums, published 15 articles in journals, examiner for 4 no.’s M.Tech thesis, 6 best paper awards, 6 internal recognition in LTHE, presented 24 guest/invited lectures. Dr. Supratik Roychowdhury

Dr. Supratik Roychowdhury is working as scientific officer in Materials Processing & Corrosion Engineering Division, BARC since 1998. He completed B.E. (Metallurgical Engg.) from REC, Rourkela (presently NIT, Rourkela), M.Tech. (Materials Science) and PhD (Corrosion Science & Engineering) from IIT Bombay. He was awarded the Marie Curie research grant (COFUND scheme) for pursuing post-doctoral research in Paul Scherrer institute (PSI), Switzerland (2013-2015). 
His primary research interest is corrosion/SCC of nuclear structural materials in simulated nuclear reactor water chemistry (SCC initiation and growth), hydrogen embrittlement, flow-accelerated corrosion, providing metallurgical support (failure analysis, material selection) and delivering lectures on corrosion related topics. In recognition to his work he has received the “Best M.Tech thesis award” and “Excellence in corrosion science and technology” from NACE International India Section, Best PhD thesis award from IIT Bombay, Mumbai, DAE individual and group awards and has number of publications in peer reviewed journals.

Dr. C. Kannan

Dr. Kannan Chandrasekaran is currently heading the Applied Metallurgy &Pipeline Research laboratories at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, R & D Center, Faridabad, India as Deputy General Manager. Dr. Kannan specializes in Material selection for Corrosion prevention, Failure analysis, Condition monitoring &Advanced Non Destructive Test techniques, Fitness for purpose evaluation and Life extension of refinery components.  
He has over twenty six years of experience in working with the materials related issues of refining industry. He graduated in Metallurgical Engg. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and obtained his masters degree in Industrial Metallurgy from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He is a Doctorate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), USA and also the executive committee member of NACE Gateway India section. 
Dr. Kannan has More than thirty five technical publications in Journals &conferences of repute. He has authored more than hundred technical / project reports. He has been conferred with the Petrofed Innovator of the year – Team Award for 2015.

Dr. Ajay Popat

Ajay Popat is an engineer in Plastics Technology from the Plastic & Rubber Institute, UK and has done Masters in Business Administration specializing in Marketing & Strategy with honors from NMIMS Institute. He has been conferred with a Fellowship by Indian Plastics Institute in 2007.  
He has more than 35 years of experience in Strategy, Business & Organisation Development with leading organizations like Resins & Plastics Ltd. (then a subsidiary of Asian Paints Ltd.), Pidilite Industries Ltd. and Ion Exchange. He had an extremely successful career track record with Pidilite Industries from 1983 to 1994 where he grew from the position of Sales Representative to All-India Sales Manager.   
Associated with Ion Exchange since 1994, he has spearheaded several initiatives in developing and successfully commercializing proprietary, advanced & sustainable technologies for purification & separation in water, wastewater treatment and more recently in areas of renewable energy in compliance with legal, environmental, economic and social requirement of our country. During his tenure, he has successfully conceived the idea of a separate Environment Management business, which he formed through a joint venture between Ion Exchange and a leading Belgium company. Under his leadership as a CEO of this joint venture (and then elevated to the Board of the Company), he created a leadership position for the joint venture, leading to his elevation as the President of the parent company, Ion Exchange (India) Ltd. where he is responsible for Corporate functions in Technology, Marketing, Communication, Heavy Industry Business Verticals, Environment Division and Corporate Affairs.  
He is active in promoting the cause of water industry through active participation with the Water and Environment Council in CII, FICCI, Bombay Chambers of Commerce, Indian Environmental Association, Water Quality Association – India Task Force, Process Plant and Machinery Association of India (PPMAI) and other trade bodies. Recognizing his dedicated contribution he has risen to the position of Director in the governing bodies of these Organizations. He has chaired and delivered more than 500 papers on the subject of Sustainable Environment Management practices.

Dr. Parvatalu is a Ph.D in Electro-analytical chemistry from Mumbai University.  
Dr. D. Parvatalu is working as a Domain Expert in Hydrogen Programme of ONGC Energy Centre. Earlier he worked as a Project Manager- Hydrogen project team before superannuating as Dy. General Manger from ONGC in 2016. 
Dr. Parvatalu is a member of OEC’s dynamic Energy Centre Team for the past 12 years and involved in Planning / Coordination / successful implementation of various R & D programme undertaken in alternate energy areas beyond hydrocarbons including the OEC’s prestigious Hydrogen Energy program to develop suitable technologies with indigenous resources. 
Currently his main focus is on development of Thermochemical Hydrogen generation technologies using closed- / open-loop Iodine-Sulfur (I-S) and closed-loop Copper-Chlorine (Cu-Cl) processes of water splitting involving electrochemical reactions in collaboration with various Centers of excellence in India in the frame work of OEC conceptualized Hydrogen-eco system. He is associated with development of materials including corrosion testing facilities for high temperature applications especially for thermochemical cycles.  
Dr. Parvatalu has vast experience of 25 years in various quality control activities in upstream Oil/Gas production operations in onshore and offshore viz., Mumbai Offshore, Assam Ankleshwar onshore Oil fields and Regional Geo-Science labs and has rich experience in chemical control for oil flow improvement, corrosion / scale prevention measures, water treatment systems, Standard Test Methods development etc. 
Dr. Parvatalu led the NACE –TG 528 international team recently to develop international standard test method NACE-Id 182 for screening Oil filed Corrosion inhibitors. 
Dr. Parvatalu has authored / co-authored over 95 publications / presentations in various international/ national conferences/journals and 3 international and 9 Indian patents. 
He is a member of several distinguished professional institutions like NACE, SPE, SAEST, ISAS, HAI, IAHEAM etc.

Dr. S. Parida

Dr. S. Parida, is an associate professor in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. He received his Ph.D. degree in engineering science from the University of Saarland, Germany. 
He worked at Institute for Nanotechnology, KIT, Germany on alloy corrosion. He has over three years of postdoctoral experience in Department of Chemical Engineering at University of Toronto, Canada. He was a DAAD fellow at IFW Dresden, Germany. His research interest includes functional coatings, corrosion sensor and implementation of nanomaterials in corrosion research. He teaches postgraduate and undergraduate courses on corrosion science and electrochemistry. 

Dr. R. Venkatesan

Dr.R. Venkatesan, is a Scientist G and Project Director at the National Institute of Ocean Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India.  
He has unique experience of studying corrosion of materials in deep sea up to 5000 meters depth and specialized in field oriented practical studies on marine corrosion and coatings.  
He has experience on ocean technology projects such as Desalination, Ocean Observation System and design of instruments for long term ocean data collection, and many other related projects. These desalination plants in Islands are working from 2005 and he has evolved effective corrosion control and monitoring systems. 
His institute has moored observatories deployed in coastal, open ocean and Arctic waters (Svalbard). He specialized in field activities and had sailed on board for 2500 days and visited Arctic to install observatory and tested materials coupons.  
He is associated on material selection of various components for manned submersibles. He has also executed societal benefit projects such as Design and development of Fish Aggregation Devices for Fishermen for which his expertise on selection of materials and coating helped to erect these units.

Prof Rajendran

Prof Rajendran obtained his Ph.D from the department of Analytical Chemistry, University of Madras, Chennai in 1996 and joined as a faculty in the department of Chemistry, Anna University, Chennai in 1998. He did his Post doctoral research at Corrosion Resistant Design Group, Steel Research Centre, National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan and he has been a guest faculty at NIMS, Japan. Prof. Rajendran is an internationally respected corrosion science and technology specialist. He has a long standing reputation within the corrosion community for his research into many facets of the associated corrosion phenomena of different metals, particularly stainless steels and titanium with an orientation towards biomaterial development. In particular, Dr Rajendran is a recognized expert in the field of biomaterial and other polymer composites. Dr. Rajendran’s research results have also influenced the corrosion fraternity and the biomaterial community at large. In the wider materials/biomaterials community, he has served on numerous committees, advisory boards and steering groups. 
He has guided more than 26 Ph.D scholars besides more than 15 master students. He has completed major research projects sponsored by AICTE, CSIR, UGC-DAE, ICMR, UGC, DST, CSIR, AERB, and UGC. He has published more than 150 papers in the International journal and more than 160 conference proceedings. He has received more than 40 best paper awards  
Dr. Rajendran‘s  contributions in the field of corrosion science and technology, he has been recognized by many awards which include “The Excellence in Corrosion Science & Technology for the year 2009” from NACE International Gateway India Section, Mumbai, MASCOT National Award-2014 from Electrochemical Society India at IISc, Bengaluru, the Meritorious Contribution Award - 2014 from National Corrosion Council of India (NCCI), at CSIR-CECRI Karaikudi, Active Researcher award-2013 from Anna University, Tamil Nadu Scientist(TANSA) award -2014 from Government of Tamil Nadu, Mid Career Award -2017 from UGC, New Delhi, TUSHAR JHAVERI award-2017 from East Asia Pacific Area-NACE International and Meritorious contribution award-2017 from NIGIS, Mumbai. 
Most significantly, he was elected Fellow to the Indian National Academy, Chennai (FASC) Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry, UK(FRSC) and Fellow of NACE International, USA (FNACE).

Lt Col Atul K Joshi

Born and brought up in Shiwalik Ranges of Himalayas from Himachal Pradesh, completed his B.Tech (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from NIT Hamirpur in 1997. After his MBA, he did Project Management course from National University of Singapore and presently he is pursing Doctorate in Competitive Intelligence. 
With around two year of working in Automobile Industry DCM and Denso, he joined IndianOil Corporation Limited in the year 1999.  
In initial phase with IOCL, he worked in execution of cross-country Pipelines for about seven years. During this phase he volunteered for Indian Army and got commissioned for Oil & Gas support to nation, through Territorial Army. His construction experience was enriched with various activities of Oil & LPG pipelines with special emphasis on Cathodic Protection works followed by initial CP surveys and its analysis. 
In next phase he worked in Operations & Maintenance set up for about three years, followed by four years exposure to Purchase Project materials for of Oil & Gas sector. For past seven years he is working in Project Design Department and presently he is working as Deputy General Manager Projects-Electrical. 
Col Joshi, has represented IOCL in many international and national conferences and presented his research papers in the field of Cross Country Pipelines construction and Cathodic Protection. He has been to Latin America, Europe and far east Asia for technological support and inspections of critical equipment.

Dr. Radhakrishna G. Pillai

Dr. Radhakrishna G. Pillai received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in civil engineering from Motilal Neharu Regional Engineering College (Now MNNIT) Allahabad, India. He received his M.S. & Ph. D. degrees in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA. For the past about 9 years he is serving as a faculty in the Department Of Civil Engineering At IIT Madras, Chennai, India. He runs Strong research group at IIT Madras with a focus on corrosion in concrete structures & has coauthored more than 70 publications. His areas of research interest include the Corrosion Mechanisms, Corrosion Control (Cathodic Protection), Steel-Concrete Bond Behavior, Service Life Estimation, Repairs of Conventional & Presstressed Concrete Structures. He is also very active in the Professional Organizations such as NACE International India Section (NIIS), Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), and the International Union of Laboratories & Experts in Construction, Materials, and Systems & Structures (RILEM).
